Depression

Depression is one of the most common psychological problems, with few palatable solutions.  There are many symptoms of depression that most of us are already aware of: Intense sadness, crying spells, loss of energy, lack of interest, and in some cases hopelessness.  Beneath the painful symptoms is frequently a deep sense of loss.  It can be a loss of a relationship or job, or a loss of place or community, or even a loss of meaning or purpose.  Coping with this sense of loss on your own can be extremely lonely, painful, and confusing.  Therapy is helpful with depression in that it provides a way for you to share your experience and minimize your symptoms, while simultaneously reconnecting with your sense of vitality and purpose, paving the way for meaningful change and growth.
